Designed as a direct replacement for the standard rubber hoses fitted to MQB platform vehicles, these stainless steel braided lines are a straightforward upgrade that makes a noticeable difference to how your rear brakes feel and respond.

Standard rubber brake hoses naturally expand under the heat and pressure generated during hard braking. That expansion is one of the main causes of a soft or “spongy” pedal feel. By swapping them for Racingline’s braided lines, more of the pressure you apply at the pedal is transferred directly to the calipers, giving sharper response and improved consistency lap after lap or on a spirited road drive.

Built for Long-Term Performance

Each hose uses a PTFE inner line wrapped in a stainless steel braided sleeve. PTFE is a tough, heat-resistant material that resists swelling under pressure, while the stainless braiding protects against abrasion, stone chips and corrosion. The result is a brake line that not only performs better than the original rubber hose, but also lasts considerably longer. The lines are fully compatible with DOT4 and other high-performance brake fluids.

Important Fitment Notes

These rear hoses are only suitable for vehicles fitted with an electronic handbrake. If your car uses a traditional cable-operated handbrake, this kit will not fit.

You will need to re-use your existing banjo bolts during installation, as new bolts are not supplied in the kit.

As with any brake work, fitment should be carried out by a qualified technician, and the brake system must be properly bled afterwards to remove any air from the lines.
