Racingline Oil Management System – 2.0 TFSI EA113 (VWR13G500)
The Racingline Oil Management System is a dual-purpose upgrade for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine, developed directly from Racingline’s motorsport programme. It does two important jobs: it captures oil and moisture vapours from the crankcase, and it helps protect the engine from oil starvation during heavy braking on track.
This is not a basic catch can. It is a complete system that addresses two well-known weaknesses of the EA113 platform when the engine is pushed hard.
Cleaner Intake, Cleaner Combustion
All petrol engines produce blow-by gases, which are oily vapours that escape past the piston rings into the crankcase. On a standard set-up, these vapours are routed back through the intake, where they slowly coat the intercooler, intake pipework and inlet tract with a film of oil. Over time this reduces airflow efficiency and cooling performance.
The Racingline catch can uses a fully baffled internal design to condense these vapours, separating the oil and moisture from the air before it returns to the intake. The collected liquid drops to the bottom of the tank for easy draining, while cleaner air continues on to the engine. The result is a tidier engine bay, a cleaner intercooler and a more consistent air/fuel mixture.
Protection Against Oil Starvation
Through extensive track testing, Racingline identified a serious issue on the EA113 engine: under sustained high-G braking, oil can surge away from the pump pick-up in the sump. This creates a brief but dangerous moment of oil starvation in the top of the engine, and has been responsible for engine failures in hard-driven cars.
To address this, the kit includes a specially designed Engine Breather Plate, which helps keep oil where it needs to be at the top of the engine during heavy braking events. For anyone running their EA113 on track, this alone is a worthwhile piece of insurance.

Charcoal canister: This system will only fit vehicles that do not have a charcoal canister fitted, or where the canister has already been deleted. Please check your vehicle before ordering.
