Racingline Sport Lowering Springs – Audi S3/RS3 (8V) & RS3 (8Y) Sportback/Saloon
Give your Audi S3 or RS3 a sharper stance and noticeably better handling with the Racingline Sport Lowering Springs (VWR3130RS). This is one of the simplest, most cost-effective ways to improve both the look and the dynamics of your car, without moving to a full coilover setup.
The factory springs on these models are a compromise between comfort, ride height and broad market appeal. The result is a car that sits higher than it needs to and rolls more than it should during enthusiastic driving. Swapping to the Racingline springs lowers the centre of gravity, tightens up body control and gives the car a far more purposeful look on its standard wheels.
What the Springs Do
Racingline have developed these springs specifically to work with the standard OEM dampers. The spring rate is stiffer than stock, but progressively tuned so the ride remains compliant on UK roads. In many cases owners report the ride feels more controlled and settled than factory, particularly over undulating surfaces where the standard car can feel floaty.
- Reduced body roll for flatter, more confident cornering
- Sharper steering response thanks to a lower centre of gravity
- Improved stance with a moderate, road-friendly drop
- Engineered to match the OEM dampers, so no other suspension changes are required
Comfort and Daily Usability
Unlike cheaper springs that simply chop ride height at the expense of ride quality, the Racingline springs use a progressive rate. This means the initial part of the spring travel stays soft enough to absorb everyday bumps, while the stiffer section comes into play during cornering loads or harder driving. The car feels planted without becoming harsh.
Fitment
This spring set is designed for the following Audi models:
- Audi S3 (8V) Sportback / Saloon (2012-2020)
- Audi RS3 (8V) Sportback / Saloon (2015-2020)
- Audi RS3 (8Y) Sportback / Saloon (2021 onwards)
Important: These springs are NOT compatible with the Audi S3 (8Y) Sportback / Saloon (2020 onwards). Please use our vehicle lookup or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm the correct part for your car before ordering.
Installation Notes
As with any suspension component, fitting should be carried out by a competent workshop. A full four-wheel alignment is essential after installation to ensure correct geometry, even tyre wear and the best possible handling from the new setup.
As an authorised UK dealer for Racingline Performance, we supply only genuine Racingline parts, backed by the manufacturer’s own development and warranty. Racingline products are developed and tested in motorsport, then refined for road use, so you get parts that genuinely perform rather than simply look the part.
Applications
Please note, customers are wholly responsible for checking fitment for their vehicle.
