The Racingline Hi-Flow Intake Upgrade Kit is a straightforward bolt-on package designed to free up airflow on the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI/TFSI engines fitted to the Polo GTI, Ibiza Cupra and Audi S1. By replacing two of the most restrictive parts in the factory intake tract, it lets your turbo breathe properly, whether you’re running the standard IS20 or an upgraded IS38.

This kit pairs perfectly with the Racingline Cold Air Intake and is the natural next step for anyone looking to get the most from a tuned or stock-turbo setup.

What’s in the Kit

• Hi-Flow Turbo Inlet Elbow – CNC machined from billet aluminium, with a larger diameter and a smoother internal bore than the small, restrictive plastic OEM part.
• Silicone Intake Pipe – Model-specific for the 6C/6J chassis, replacing the corrugated plastic factory pipe with a smooth, free-flowing silicone hose.

Why Upgrade the Turbo Inlet?

The factory inlet elbow is a tight, narrow plastic bend that chokes off airflow just before it enters the turbo. Even with a high-flow air intake fitted, the air still has to squeeze through this restrictive section, wasting much of the potential gain.

Racingline’s billet elbow opens up the bore and smooths out the bend, allowing a much larger, cleaner volume of air to reach the turbo. On the flow bench, back-to-back testing against the OEM elbow shows a clear improvement in airflow.

In real-world driving, you can expect:

• Faster turbo spool and sharper throttle response
• Measurable gains in power and torque, particularly when combined with a remap or larger turbo
• A more noticeable induction and turbo sound under load

Fitment

This kit is designed for the 1.8 TSI Polo GTI (6C) and Ibiza Cupra (6J), as well as the 2.0 TFSI Audi S1 (8X). Please use the vehicle lookup or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm compatibility with your car.

Important: This Intake Upgrade Kit is currently designed for right-hand drive vehicles only. A dedicated LHD version is in development. Some customers have successfully fitted the kit to LHD cars, but this requires minor modification to the Turbo Inlet elbow.

Note: This kit is designed to work alongside the Racingline Cold Air Intake. It is not compatible with the OEM airbox.

Installation

Fitment is straightforward and can be carried out at home with basic tools. The elbow bolts directly in place of the factory part, and the silicone pipe replaces the OEM intake hose using the existing mounting points.
