The Racingline Stage 3 Monoblock Big Brake Kit is the brand’s flagship braking upgrade for the MQB platform, developed over almost a year of testing to deliver motorsport-grade stopping power on the road and track. Built around a forged 6-piston monoblock caliper (a single-piece caliper machined from one billet rather than bolted halves), it offers a step up in stiffness, heat management and outright performance over anything else in its class.

Why Choose the Stage 3 Kit?

Engineered using the latest FEA (Finite Element Analysis) design tools and produced via 5-axis CNC machining, the Stage 3 caliper has more in common with top-tier motorsport components than typical aftermarket brakes. The result is a brake that pulls the car down harder, resists fade for longer, and looks the part behind the wheel.

Despite its size, the complete caliper, pad and bracket assembly weighs just 5.3kg (11.7lb), compared with 8.6kg (18.9lb) for the factory Golf 7R / S3 setup. That’s a meaningful reduction in unsprung weight, which helps both handling and ride quality.

During development, Racingline recorded their highest ever burst-pressure test result with this caliper, and the kit has been responsible for record 100-0 km/h stopping times on their test vehicles.

Caliper Colour and Rotor Size Options

Choose between 355mm rotors (for 18″ wheels) and 380mm rotors (for 19″ wheels). Caliper finishes available are Yellow, Red, Blue, Black and Hard Anodised.

Fitment

This kit is designed for the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, covering popular models such as the Golf 7/7.5 GTI and R, Audi S3 8V, Cupra Leon and similar. Please use the site’s vehicle lookup tool or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm suitability for your exact car.

Wheel clearance notes:

• Factory 19″ wheels and wheels from other brands may require spacers to clear the calipers.
• Racingline and Revo 19″ wheels do not require spacers.

Important: Big brake kits must be fitted by a qualified technician, and the system must be properly bled and bedded in according to Racingline’s instructions before any hard use. Correct bed-in is essential to achieve the full performance and lifespan of the discs and pads.
