What does it do?

Modern MQB platform cars use a laser-welded bodyshell that is impressively rigid up front, particularly between the suspension tops. At the rear, however, there is noticeably more chassis flex. Under hard cornering, or when running stiffer aftermarket suspension, that flex allows the rear suspension geometry to shift away from its intended settings, blunting handling response. It is the same reason Volkswagen fitted a factory rear brace to the limited-edition Clubsport S Golf.

The Racingline Rear Body Brace ties the rear strut towers and key hard points together, keeping the bodyshell stable so the suspension can work exactly as designed. The result is sharper turn-in, more consistent grip mid-corner and a car that feels tighter and more planted when you push on.

Simple, Reversible Installation

It is also compatible with the rear seats up, folded down or removed altogether, so the full interior remains usable.

Confirmed Fitment

This brace (VWR8130S3) is designed specifically for the Audi 8V A3, S3 and RS3 Sportback (3 and 5 door) and the 8Y RS3 Sportback. It is not suitable for 4 door saloon/sedan models.
