The Racingline Turbo Muffler Delete is a direct replacement for the restrictive factory turbo muffler fitted to the latest 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engines running the Garrett turbocharger. By swapping out the standard plastic muffler for a precision-machined billet aluminium delete pipe and a larger silicone joiner hose, you remove a known restriction in the compressor outlet, freeing up airflow exactly where it matters most.
From the factory, the muffler is fitted to keep engine bay noise down. The trade-off is that it introduces turbulence into the air leaving the turbo, which hurts boost response. Replacing it with a smooth, CFD-developed air path gives the turbo an easier job and lets the engine breathe properly.

- Replaces the restrictive 38mm inner diameter OEM muffler with a tapered billet design opening up to 53mm
- Pairs with a matching 53mm internally-stepped silicone joiner hose for a seamless airflow path

Why it makes a difference
The standard muffler sits right at the turbo’s compressor outlet, which is exactly where you want clean, smooth airflow. Even a small restriction here makes the turbo work harder than it needs to. Racingline’s tapered delete keeps the air moving in a straight, uninterrupted path, so the turbo can build boost faster and the engine feels sharper when you press the throttle. Expect a small but noticeable gain in response rather than a huge horsepower jump – this is a refinement part, not a power adder, and we want to be straight with you on that.
You’ll also get a clearer turbo sound. The whoosh of the compressor and the chatter of the diverter valve become audible, which many owners enjoy as part of the experience of a turbocharged car.
Build quality
The delete pipe is machined from a single piece of billet aluminium with a clean, OEM-grade finish. The silicone hose is reinforced and designed to handle the pressures and temperatures of the EA888.4 turbo system without deformation. Fitment is direct, using the factory clamps and mounting points.
Important fitment notice
This product is NOT suitable for 300+ PS engines. It is designed specifically for the 245ps 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 variant fitted with the Garrett turbocharger. If your car has been tuned beyond stock power, or has the higher-output IS38-equivalent turbo, this is not the correct part for your vehicle.

Installation
Fitting is straightforward and can usually be completed at home with basic hand tools in under an hour. The kit includes the billet delete pipe and the silicone joiner hose – simply remove the OEM muffler assembly and bolt the new parts in place using the existing clamps.
