The Racingline MQB Propshaft Bearing Alignment Kit is a simple but clever fix for a common issue on MQB platform cars: a propshaft centre bearing that can twist out of true alignment over time. By eliminating the factory’s loose bolt hole tolerances, this kit keeps your propshaft running straight and stable, reducing wear on the bearing, bushes and rubber housing.

What the kit does

The factory centre support bearing carrier is fitted using oversized bolt holes. This is helpful on the production line, allowing quick assembly, but it also permits several degrees of “twist” in the bracket. Every hard launch and aggressive gear change causes movement in the drivetrain, and over time this can shift the bearing carrier away from its ideal position. The result is misalignment, vibration and accelerated wear on the propshaft components.

This precision-engineered alignment kit reduces the bolt hole size from M14 down to M8, locking the bearing carrier centrally and removing any room for unwanted movement. Once fitted, your propshaft stays in true alignment – permanently.
