Why Upgrade to Carbon Ceramic Rear Brakes?

Carbon ceramic discs (often shortened to CCM, meaning Carbon Ceramic Matrix) use a blend of carbon fibre and ceramic instead of traditional cast iron or steel. The result is a disc that handles heat far better, weighs significantly less, and lasts considerably longer than a conventional steel rotor.

The Racingline Stage 3+ CCM front kit set a new benchmark for braking on the MQB platform. This rear upgrade extends that same technology to the rear of the car, giving you a balanced, fully ceramic braking setup.

What’s in the Kit?

The kit supplies a pair of 310 x 22mm carbon ceramic rear rotors along with Racingline’s CCM-specific brake pads, formulated specifically for use with ceramic disc material. Using the correct pad compound is essential with ceramic discs, and these are supplied ready to install.

Important: Carbon ceramic brakes require correct bedding-in before use. Follow Racingline’s supplied bedding procedure carefully. Skipping this step can damage the disc surface and reduce performance. Ceramic rotors should only ever be used with the correct CCM-specific pads supplied in this kit – fitting standard steel-rotor pads will damage the discs.
