Racingline Intercooler Boost Pipes – Audi RS3 8V/8Y & TTRS 8S (VWR140011)
Get the most from your Audi RS3 (8V/8Y) or TTRS (8S) 2.5 TFSI with the Racingline Intercooler Boost Pipe Kit. This five-piece set replaces the restrictive factory rubber and plastic charge pipes with a larger-diameter aluminium hard pipe and four reinforced silicone hoses, giving your turbocharged 2.5 five-cylinder a smoother, stronger and higher-flowing intake path from the turbo to the throttle body.
As an authorised UK Racingline dealer, we supply this kit as a direct upgrade for owners who want to support higher boost pressures reliably, particularly on remapped or Stage 1+ cars where the original pipes become a known weak point.
Why upgrade the factory boost pipes?
The standard Audi charge pipes have a few built-in compromises. They use a smaller internal diameter, soft plastic and rubber construction, and feature a moulded “dent” to clear the wiring loom. Together, these create turbulence, restrict airflow and become a failure point under increased boost pressure.
The Racingline kit removes those restrictions entirely. The result is a cleaner, more consistent airflow path, better turbo response and the strength to handle the demands of a tuned 2.5 TFSI without ballooning, splitting or popping off.
Key features and construction
- 70mm aluminium boost pipe – larger than the 63mm OD factory plastic pipe, with the loom clearance dent removed for smooth laminar airflow.
- Four reinforced silicone hoses covering the intercooler inlet, intercooler outlet, turbo outlet and throttle body connections.
- Stepped internal joints – port-matched transitions between hose and pipe to reduce turbulence at every junction.
- Fluorosilicone inner liner – resists oil and fuel permeation for long-term durability under heat and pressure.
- Convoluted intercooler outlet hose with stainless steel band – allows for engine movement without collapsing under vacuum or boost.
- Mikalor stainless steel clamps included throughout to reduce the risk of boost leaks and hose slippage.
The complete system is pressure-tested well beyond the standard turbo’s output, so it stays composed under the higher temperatures and boost levels seen on remapped engines.
What to expect on the car
This is a supporting modification rather than a bolt-on power upgrade on its own. On a stock car you can expect improved throttle response, more consistent boost delivery and far better long-term reliability. On a tuned car (Stage 1, Stage 2 or beyond), it removes one of the most common failure points and helps the turbo deliver air more efficiently to the engine, which translates into a stronger, cleaner power curve.
Fitment
Designed for the 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine found in the Audi RS3 (8V and 8Y) and Audi TTRS (8S). Please use the vehicle lookup or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm compatibility with your exact model year and specification before ordering.
In the box
- 1 x 70mm aluminium boost pipe
- 4 x reinforced silicone hoses (turbo outlet, intercooler inlet, intercooler outlet, throttle body)
- Full set of Mikalor stainless steel clamps
Installation note: Fitting requires removal of the factory charge pipework and careful routing of the new pipes around the wiring loom. We recommend installation by a competent technician familiar with the 2.5 TFSI platform to ensure all clamps are correctly seated and torqued.
Applications
Please note, customers are wholly responsible for checking fitment for their vehicle.
