A simple, inexpensive fix for one of the most common annoyances on the 2.5 TFSI engine: a loose, rattling engine cover. These Racingline replacement grommets are a direct swap for the factory part (OE: 1T0 805 673 A) and are designed to hold your engine cover firmly in place, even with the extra vibration that comes with a tuned or hard driven car.

If you own an Audi RS3 or TT RS, there’s a good chance you’ve already lost one or two of the original rubber grommets to the depths of the engine bay. Racingline’s higher durometer (firmer) rubber replacements solve the problem properly.

What do they do?

The engine cover on the 2.5 TFSI sits on four small rubber grommets. The factory items are simply too soft for the job. Over time, engine vibration and repeated removal of the cover causes them to push through, work loose, and eventually fall out altogether, leaving the cover rattling or sitting at an angle.

Racingline’s replacements use a stiffer rubber compound and a thicker flange design, giving a much tighter, more secure grip on the cover. The result is an engine cover that stays exactly where it should, with no rattles and no missing parts.

Fitment

Installation

Fitting takes minutes and requires no tools beyond your hands. Remove the engine cover, pull out any remaining factory grommets, push the four Racingline replacements into the same locations, and refit the cover. Done.

Tip: If you’ve already lost one or more of the factory grommets, it’s worth replacing all four at the same time so the cover sits evenly and is held with consistent pressure.
