The Racingline Boost Pipe Kit is a direct replacement for the restrictive and failure-prone factory boost pipes fitted to 2.0 TSI MQB platform cars running the EA888 Gen.3 engine. By smoothing out the charge path between the turbo, intercooler and throttle body, it delivers more consistent airflow, sharper throttle response and improved long-term reliability.

Why upgrade the factory boost pipes?

The OEM boost pipes are a well-known weak point on the EA888 Gen.3 engine. Under sustained boost, the plastic factory pipes can split, deform or develop boost leaks, which causes a loss of power and unreliable running. Replacing them with the Racingline kit removes these weak points and ensures the turbo’s full output reaches the engine.

Beyond reliability, the smoother internal surface and optimised routing of the Racingline pipes reduce restriction. This allows the turbo to move a larger volume of air with less turbulence, giving small but worthwhile gains in power and torque, faster turbo spool and a more pronounced turbocharger sound.

What’s in the kit?

The kit is made up of three pieces that replace the full charge path from the turbo outlet to the throttle body:

• A reinforced silicone hose for the turbo outlet, hand-wound in multi-ply silicone over internal wire reinforcement for heat and deformation resistance.
• A mandrel-bent aluminium hard pipe between the turbo and intercooler.
• A mandrel-bent aluminium hard pipe between the intercooler and throttle body.

Both hard pipes are formed from single-piece, mandrel-bent 6000 series aluminium with a 60mm outer diameter and thin walls for maximum internal flow. Barbed ends prevent any risk of hose blow-off, even under high boost pressure. Each pipe is hand polished, anodised black and laser etched with the Racingline logo for a clean engine bay finish that lasts.

Built for perfect fitment

All mounting brackets are TIG welded for dimensional accuracy, and the kit includes everything needed for a clean install: a stainless steel Mikalor clamp, OEM-style rubber mounting bobbins and fresh bolts. Installation is a direct OEM replacement with no cutting or drilling required, so the modification is fully reversible if you ever return to standard.
