The Racingline Power Control Module (PCM) is a plug-in tuning box developed exclusively for the latest 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engine fitted to the new wave of 333PS hot hatches and performance models from VW, Cupra and Audi. It’s a simple, reversible way to unlock meaningful extra power and torque without permanently altering your car’s factory ECU.

What the PCM does
The PCM is a small electronic module that connects to existing sensors on the top of the engine via a plug-and-play wiring loom. It optimises signals such as boost pressure to safely increase power and torque, while still working alongside the car’s factory ECU and protection strategies. Racingline have spent considerable time on research, development and real-world testing to make sure the gains come without compromising the smooth drivability, reliability and longevity owners expect from these engines.
Power and torque gains
- Power: 333PS increased to approximately 393PS
- Torque: 420Nm increased to approximately 491Nm
These figures are taken from Racingline’s own tested applications. Real-world results can vary slightly depending on engine condition, fuel quality, ambient conditions, supporting modifications and the testing method used.

This particular PCM (VWR030003-CONT) is developed for 333PS 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engines fitted with the Continental turbocharger. It suits popular models such as:

This gives you a clear progression route should you want to take your tuning further down the line, without losing the value of your initial PCM purchase.
Installation at home
The PCM is designed to be fitted by anyone with a basic level of mechanical confidence. The unit itself sits neatly above the battery using the supplied carbon fibre battery mount and hardware, and the wiring loom simply plugs into existing sensor connectors on top of the engine. No cutting, soldering or ECU flashing is required, and the whole installation can be fully reversed by unplugging the module and refitting the standard connectors.
Register your PCM before use
Before driving the car with the PCM fitted, you must register the serial number of your device with Racingline. Registration activates your device’s warranty and secures your free upgrade path when it becomes available. Failure to register may invalidate these benefits.
Important information on warranty and road use
Any tuning modification can affect your vehicle’s manufacturer engine and powertrain warranty. If a main dealer identifies the PCM fitted, they may reject a warranty claim relating to the engine or drivetrain.
The PCM is fully removable and, once unplugged, returns the car to standard running condition. While it leaves minimal trace on the ECU, Racingline cannot guarantee that the product is warranty-safe, and it is fitted at the customer’s own risk.
It is also your responsibility to inform your insurer of the modification and to ensure your vehicle remains compliant with local road traffic laws.
