The standard paper filter does its job, but it creates a noticeable restriction in the intake path. Racingline’s panel filter uses a triple-layer Trifoam® element that allows more air through to the turbos while still filtering effectively. Realistic expectations

This is a sensible bolt-on upgrade rather than a power-adding miracle. On a 4.0 TFSI V8 with twin turbos, the standard airbox is reasonably well designed, so the gains from the filter alone are modest. Installation
