The Racingline Power Control Module (PCM) is a plug-in tuning box developed specifically for the 2.5 TFSI engine fitted to the Audi RS3 8V.2 (OPF models). It delivers a noticeable lift in power and torque while keeping the car’s character and reliability intact, staying true to Racingline’s OEM+ tuning philosophy.

What the PCM does

The PCM is a small electronic module that connects to existing sensors on the engine. It reads live data and adjusts certain signals so the ECU (the engine’s main computer) optimises fuelling and boost for more performance. Unlike a traditional remap, the PCM is fully removable, returning the car to standard when unplugged.

On the 2.5 TFSI DWNC (OPF) engine found in the Audi RS3 8V.2, expected gains are:

• Power: 400ps to 452ps
• Torque: 500Nm to 601Nm

Installation at home

Fitting the PCM is straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical knowledge. The unit sits above the battery using the supplied carbon fibre mount and hardware, and the wiring loom plugs into existing sensors at the top of the engine. No cutting or soldering is required.

Free OEM+ upgrade path

As a Racingline technical partner, we can offer a free upgrade to the latest OEM+ software map when it becomes available, for all PCM purchases made through Racingline Shop. To qualify, you must register your PCM serial number with Racingline after purchase. Registering also activates the device’s warranty, so it’s an important step before first use.

Important information on warranty and use

Any tuning modification can invalidate your manufacturer’s engine and powertrain warranty. If an Audi dealer identifies the PCM fitted to the vehicle, they would be entitled to reject a warranty claim relating to the engine or drivetrain. The PCM is fully removable and leaves minimal trace once unplugged, but there is no guarantee that it is warranty safe, and it is installed at the customer’s own risk.

You are also responsible for notifying your insurer of the modification and ensuring your car continues to comply with local road laws.

Quoted power figures are based on accurate dyno testing, but real-world results can vary slightly depending on engine condition, ancillaries, fuel quality, other modifications and testing method.
