The Racingline Software and PDM Bundle is a complete Stage 1 tuning package developed specifically for the 3.0 TDI engine fitted to the Audi A7 (C8) 45 and 50 TDI. It gives you a meaningful step up in power and torque, while retaining the reliability and refinement you expect from your car. As an authorised Racingline retailer, we supply the genuine PDM (Personal Device Manager) tool and matched software so you can flash your vehicle in your own driveway.

What the Bundle Does

Racingline’s engineers recalibrate the engine’s ECU (the computer that controls how the engine runs) to optimise fuelling, boost pressure from the turbo, and timing. The result is a smoother, stronger pulling engine across the rev range, with a noticeable lift in torque – the force you feel when accelerating or overtaking.

The PDM is a small handheld tool that connects to your laptop and your car. It allows you to flash the new software onto your ECU at home, switch back to stock at any time, and apply updates as they become available.

Expected Performance Gains*

• 45 TDI: Stock 231 PS / 500 Nm – tuned to approximately 305 PS / 620 Nm
• 50 TDI: Stock 286 PS / 620 Nm – tuned to approximately 305 PS / 620 Nm (higher torque map available with TCU software)

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A stable high-speed internet connection (wired preferred, strong Wi-Fi acceptable)
• A battery charger/support unit capable of 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Access to mains electricity at the vehicle

Important Consideration – DSG Gearbox

If your A7 is fitted with a DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox), the higher torque Stage 1 map requires the matching TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. Without it, the gearbox cannot safely handle the extra torque. We strongly recommend pairing this package with the Racingline ECU+TCU bundle to ensure smooth shifts and long-term gearbox health.

Built-In Theft Protection

One of the standout features of the PDM is its anti-theft function. With a quick flash, you can render the ECU completely inoperable, meaning the engine will not start under any circumstance until you flash a usable map back on.

• Zero start policy: the engine physically cannot run with the anti-theft map loaded
• Quick to activate: takes only moments using the PDM tool

It is genuine added security for high-risk car parks, overnight stays, or when leaving the vehicle for longer periods.
