The Racingline Software and PDM Bundle is built specifically for the EA888 evo4 engine paired with the Continental turbo found in the VW Golf Mk8 GTI Clubsport. It delivers a meaningful step up in power and torque while keeping the factory levels of reliability and drivability that Racingline is known for. With the PDM (Personal Device Manager) tool, you can flash your car at home in your own time, no workshop visit required.

What this bundle does

Racingline’s calibration team has carefully reworked the engine’s mapping, including boost control, fuelling and ignition timing, to release the performance the Clubsport’s hardware is genuinely capable of. The result is stronger pulling power throughout the rev range, sharper throttle response and a more engaging drive, without pushing the engine into stressed territory.

The PDM is your personal flashing device. It pairs to your vehicle and your Racingline account, allowing you to switch between stock and performance maps as often as you like, and to receive future map updates.

What you’ll need to flash at home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired internet connection (or a very stable Wi-Fi signal) with high-speed broadband
• A battery support charger rated at 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Mains electricity available at the vehicle

Important considerations

DSG / TCU software: If your Clubsport has the DSG gearbox, we strongly recommend pairing this with the Racingline TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. The TCU tune is required to run the high-torque Stage 1 file, as it manages the extra torque and keeps gear changes smooth and reliable.

Fuel grade: The headline performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON file is available if 99 RON is not easily accessible in your area, although peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not use 95 RON fuel if your car is running a 99 RON map.

Free upgrade path to Stage 1+ and Stage 2

Once you own Racingline software, upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ or Stage 2 is free of charge. Stage 2 does require supporting hardware to safely unlock the higher outputs, typically including:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Racingline performance intercooler
• Racingline performance downpipe

Built-in theft protection

Your PDM doubles as a powerful anti-theft tool. With a quick flash, you can render the ECU and engine completely inoperable, far beyond a standard immobiliser.

• Anti-theft map: Flash the immobilising map and the engine simply will not start
• Zero start policy: No bypass, no hot-wire, no workaround
• Quick to toggle: Activate or deactivate in moments using the PDM
