Developed specifically for the EA888.4 engine fitted with the Garrett turbocharger, this Stage 1 tune is engineered to deliver a meaningful boost in power and torque while preserving the everyday reliability you expect from your vRS.

What the Software Does

The Racingline calibration recalibrates the engine’s mapping, fuelling and boost control to extract more performance from the factory hardware. You can expect a strong increase in horsepower and torque across the rev range, sharper throttle response, and a more engaging drive without compromising drivability.

The PDM tool itself is your gateway to the software. It connects your car to Racingline’s servers, letting you flash between maps (stock, performance, anti-theft) whenever you like.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired connection (or very stable Wi-Fi) with high-speed broadband
• A battery charger/support unit rated 20A minimum (CTEK brand recommended)
• Access to a mains electricity socket for the above

Important: A stable internet connection and consistent battery voltage are essential during flashing. Interruptions can cause the process to fail.

Things to Consider Before Ordering

DSG Gearbox (TCU Software): If your vRS is fitted with the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox), the high-torque Stage 1 file requires matching TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. This ensures the gearbox can handle the additional torque and shifts remain smooth and crisp. We strongly recommend pairing with the ECU + TCU bundle.

Fuel Grade: Headline performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON map is available where 99 RON isn’t accessible, though peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not run 95 RON fuel in a car flashed with a 99 RON map.

Built-in Theft Protection

The PDM includes a powerful anti-theft feature for genuine peace of mind:

• Anti-theft map: Flash an immobilising map that renders the ECU and engine completely inoperable until a stock or performance map is restored
• Zero start: Unlike a basic immobiliser, the engine physically cannot start, ideal for high-risk parking areas or when travelling
• Quick control: Activate or deactivate in moments using the PDM tool

Room to Grow – Stage 1+ and Stage 2

Once you own Racingline software, upgrades from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ and Stage 2 are free of charge. To progress to Stage 2, the following hardware upgrades are required, along with appropriate TCU/transmission support:

• Performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Performance intercooler
• Performance downpipe

This bundle is designed specifically for the Skoda Octavia vRS (NX) fitted with the EA888.4 engine and Garrett turbocharger. All vRS variants (245-265 PS) produce the same peak figures once tuned, as the stock figures represent the lowest powered specification available.
