Racingline Audi TTRS 8S (GPF) Performance Software & PDM (Flash at Home)
The Racingline Software and PDM bundle is purpose-built for the DNWA 2.5 TFSI engine found in the Audi TTRS 8S (GPF models). It delivers a substantial uplift in power and torque from the iconic five-cylinder turbo, while retaining the reliability and driveability you expect from the factory car. The PDM (Portable Device Manager) is your personal tuning tool, allowing you to flash your ECU from the comfort of your driveway.
As an authorised Racingline retailer, we supply the genuine Stage 1 calibration developed and tested by Racingline’s in-house engineering team, with full support throughout the process.
What the Software Does
Racingline’s Stage 1 map rewrites key engine parameters including boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and throttle response. The result is a sharper, more responsive engine with significantly more pulling power across the rev range, all while staying within safe operational limits for the standard hardware.
Expected gains on a standard TTRS with 99RON fuel are around 460-480 BHP and 600+ Nm of torque, up from the factory 400 BHP and 480 Nm. Real-world driveability, mid-range punch and top-end acceleration all see clear improvements.
Flash at Home with the PDM
The PDM is Racingline’s dedicated handheld tool. Once your order is placed and your Racingline account is set up, the PDM is paired to your vehicle and loaded with the appropriate maps. You simply connect it to your OBD port to flash between Stock, Stage 1, or the optional anti-theft map whenever you wish.
What You’ll Need
- A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB and mains power
- A stable wired broadband connection (or very strong Wi-Fi)
- A battery charger/support unit, 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
- Access to mains electricity at the vehicle
Fuel Grade
Headline figures are based on 99RON fuel, which is required to run the standard Stage 1 map safely. A 95RON file is available if 99RON isn’t accessible in your area, though peak power will be slightly lower. Never run 95RON fuel on a map calibrated for 99RON.
DSG/TCU Considerations
The TTRS uses a 7-speed DSG gearbox. To get the most from the additional torque and ensure smooth, decisive shifts, we strongly recommend pairing the ECU software with Racingline’s TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. The factory torque limiter in the gearbox will otherwise hold back some of the engine’s potential. The ECU+TCU bundle is the preferred option for most TTRS owners.
Upgrade Path to Stage 1+
Once you own Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ is free of charge. To safely run Stage 1+, the following supporting hardware is required:
- Racingline Performance Air Intake and Turbo Inlet Elbow
- Racingline Performance Intercooler
If you’re planning a bigger build beyond Stage 1+, please get in touch before purchasing so we can map out the right combination of parts for your goals.
Built-in Theft Protection
One of the standout features of the PDM is its anti-theft function. With a quick flash, you can render your TTRS completely unable to start, with no workaround at the ECU level.
- Total immobilisation: flashes an anti-theft map that disables the engine entirely
- Zero start policy: the engine cannot be cranked or coaxed into life until you re-flash a stock or performance map
- Quick to toggle: activate and deactivate in minutes using the PDM
Ideal for long-stay car parks, airports, or anytime you want genuine peace of mind.
