The Racingline Software and PDM bundle is purpose-built for the Mk7.5 Golf GTI TCR, featuring the EA888.3 engine, IS38 turbocharger and GPF (Petrol Particulate Filter). It delivers a meaningful step up in performance whilst keeping the factory feel and reliability of the car intact. Tuning is carried out at home using Racingline’s PDM (Personal Device Manager) tool, giving you a genuine dealer-quality flash without needing to visit a workshop.

What the Software Does

Racingline’s Stage 1 software remaps the ECU (the engine’s main computer), adjusting boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing and throttle response. The result is a noticeable increase in power and torque across the rev range, with stronger mid-range pull and sharper throttle response. Peak gains on the TCR’s IS38 turbo are typically in the region of 370 bhp and 460 Nm on 99RON fuel, though real-world feel is just as impressive as the numbers.

Importantly, the software is developed in-house by Racingline with full GPF compatibility, so emissions hardware continues to function correctly.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired internet connection (or very stable Wi-Fi)
• A battery charger or support unit, 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Access to a mains power socket near the vehicle

Important Considerations

DSG Gearbox: The TCR uses a DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). To handle the extra torque smoothly and avoid premature clutch wear, we strongly recommend pairing the ECU software with Racingline’s TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. The ECU+TCU bundle is the better long-term choice for DSG cars.

Fuel Grade: Quoted performance figures are based on 99RON super unleaded. A 95RON file is available where 99RON isn’t accessible, with slightly lower peak figures. Do not use 95RON fuel in a vehicle flashed with the 99RON file, as this can cause knock and engine damage.

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, upgrades to Stage 1+ and Stage 2 are free of charge. Stage 2 does require additional supporting hardware to safely run the higher output:
