What the Software and PDM Bundle Does

The Racingline calibration carefully revises engine mapping, boost control, fuelling and ignition timing on the twin-turbocharged 2.9 TFSI engine. The result is a strong, linear increase in performance throughout the rev range, with noticeably sharper throttle response and improved in-gear acceleration. Power and torque gains are substantial over the standard Audi map, while still working within safe operating limits.

The PDM device is your personal tuning tool. It connects to the car’s OBD port and writes the Racingline software directly to your ECU. You can switch between Stock and Performance maps whenever you wish, making it ideal for servicing, warranty visits, or simply returning the car to standard for any reason.

Theft Protection Built In

Your PDM doubles as a powerful security tool. Using the Theft Protection function, you can flash an anti-theft map that completely disables the ECU and engine.

• Ultimate security: Instantly render the ECU inoperable until you return and re-flash a stock or performance map.
• Zero start policy: Unlike a standard immobiliser, the engine simply cannot be started, giving you peace of mind in high-risk parking or when travelling.
• Quick control: Activate and deactivate the feature in moments using your PDM.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired (or very stable Wi-Fi) high-speed broadband connection
• A battery charger/support unit rated at 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Access to a mains electricity supply during the flash

Important Considerations

Fuel grade: Quoted performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON file is available where 99 RON is not accessible, although peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not use 95 RON fuel if your vehicle has been tuned on the 99 RON map.

Gearbox software: The RS4 (B9) uses a torque converter automatic gearbox. To get the best from the extra torque, and for smoother, more decisive shifts under load, we strongly recommend pairing this ECU tune with the matching Racingline TCU software as an ECU+TCU bundle.
