The Racingline Software and PDM Bundle is a Stage 1 tuning package designed specifically for the Audi S1, which uses the EA888.3 engine paired with the IS20 turbocharger. As an authorised Racingline retailer, we supply this package complete with the PDM (Personal Device Manager) flashing tool, allowing you to load Racingline’s performance software onto your car from the comfort of your own driveway.

This is one of the most cost-effective and rewarding upgrades you can make to your S1. By refining the engine’s mapping and boost control, the software unlocks meaningful gains in power and torque without the need for additional hardware at this stage.

What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration adjusts a number of key engine parameters, including ignition timing, fuelling, boost pressure and throttle response. The result is a noticeably stronger pull throughout the rev range, sharper accelerator response and a more engaging drive overall, while staying within sensible limits to protect long-term reliability.

The PDM tool itself is a handheld device that connects between your laptop and the car’s OBD port, letting you flash the new map at home and revert to stock whenever you wish.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired internet connection (a very stable Wi-Fi connection can work as a fallback)
• A battery support charger rated at 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Access to mains electricity for the laptop and charger throughout the flash

Important Considerations Before Tuning

Clutch: The Audi S1 is fitted with a manual gearbox. The additional torque from Stage 1 can push the standard clutch beyond its comfortable working range, particularly under hard acceleration. We strongly recommend upgrading the clutch before, or shortly after, tuning to avoid slip.

Fuel grade: Headline performance figures are achieved on 99RON fuel. A 95RON map is available where 99RON is not easily obtained, though peak power and torque will be slightly lower. Never run 95RON fuel in a car flashed with the 99RON map, as this can cause engine damage.

Free Upgrade Path to Stage 2

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is completely free of charge on the software side. To run Stage 2 safely and effectively, you will need to add the supporting hardware:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Racingline performance intercooler
• Racingline performance downpipe

How the Process Works

1. Place your order online using your preferred payment method.
2. Our team will contact you by email to confirm your build and set up your personal Racingline digital account.
3. Your PDM tool is sent out to you, pre-loaded with access to the correct software for your S1, ready to flash on arrival.
