Haldex & Front Differential Home Service Kits – Genuine Parts with Optional Filling Pump

Keeping your MQB platform Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda or SEAT running at its best means looking after the parts most workshops tend to skim over. Our home service kits include everything you need to properly service either the Haldex clutch (on four-wheel drive models) or the front differential (on front-wheel drive models), using genuine parts and the latest specification oils.

Whether you’re a hands-on enthusiast or simply want the job done correctly, these kits give you the right oil, the correct seals and the stretch bolts that must be replaced during the service. An optional filling pump is also available to make the refill process far easier.

Which Kit Do I Need?

The kit you choose depends on whether your vehicle is four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive:

• Haldex Gen.5 Service Kit – for 4WD models including the VW Mk7 Golf R, Audi S3, Audi TT Quattro & TTS, and SEAT Leon Cupra ST 4Drive.
• Front Differential Service Kit – for FWD models including the VW Mk7 Golf GTI, Skoda Mk3 Octavia vRS, and SEAT Leon Cupra 280/290/300.

Haldex Gen.5 Service Kit

The Haldex clutch is what sends drive to the rear wheels on 4WD MQB cars. Over time, the small filter inside the Haldex pump can clog with debris, which restricts oil flow and affects how well the system engages the rear axle. A proper service involves more than just draining and refilling the oil – the pump must be removed and the filter cleaned, which is exactly what many garages (and even some main dealers) skip.

This kit contains:

• G060175A2 – High Performance Haldex Gear Oil (or 101172 Febi Bilstein Haldex Oil)
• 0CQ598305 – Seal and Bolt Set (stretch bolts must be replaced when removing the pump)
• 380451 – 500ml Filling Syringe (optional)

Front Differential Service Kit

The front differential on FWD MQB models is one of the most overlooked service items on the car. Like the Haldex, the oil degrades over time and contaminants can build up. A fresh fill with the correct specification oil helps keep the diff operating smoothly and prolongs its service life – especially important on tuned or hard-driven cars.

This kit contains:

• G060175A2 – High Performance Front Differential Gear Oil
• 0CQ598305 – Seal and Bolt Set
• 380451 – 500ml Filling Syringe (optional)

Optional Filling Pump

The refill hole on both the Haldex and front differential is awkward to access from under the car, and pouring oil in directly is almost impossible. The optional filling pump draws oil straight from the bottle and pumps it into the housing through a purpose-made adapter that fits the refill hole properly – unlike many generic kits where the adapter doesn’t seal correctly. It makes the whole job significantly easier and cleaner.

Service Interval

We recommend carrying out this service every 20,000 miles to keep the Haldex or front differential performing as it should. On heavily driven or tuned cars, more frequent servicing may be worthwhile.

Important: Always follow the latest manufacturer procedures for draining and refilling the oil, and observe the current torque specifications for all fasteners. Stretch bolts must always be replaced, not reused.
