Genuine MQB Subframe Dogbone Mount Bolt – M14x1.5×50
This is a genuine replacement subframe bolt (part number N 912 010 01) used to secure the dogbone (lower engine) mount to the subframe on MQB platform vehicles. It is a hexagon head combi bolt measuring M14 x 1.5 x 50mm.
The dogbone mount is the rear lower engine mount that controls engine and gearbox movement under acceleration and braking. Because this bolt is a stretch bolt (torque-to-yield), it is designed to be used once only. Once tightened to its specified torque and angle, the bolt physically stretches to provide a precise clamping load. Reusing it can result in incorrect torque, loosening, or failure.
When you need this bolt
- Replacing or upgrading the dogbone mount or its insert
- Removing and refitting the subframe
- Any service work that requires loosening the original mount bolt
We always recommend fitting fresh hardware whenever the original bolt has been disturbed. It is a small cost compared to the security and peace of mind it provides.
Fitment
This bolt is used across a wide range of MQB platform vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Cupra and Skoda, including popular models fitted with the 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines. To confirm this is the correct bolt for your vehicle, please use the vehicle lookup on the site or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for full details.
