Genuine VAG EA113 PCV Breather Valve – 06F 129 101R
The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is a known weak point on the VAG Group 2.0 TFSI EA113 engines. Over time, the internal diaphragm fails, which can cause rough idling, vacuum leaks, poor running, and even check engine lights. This is the genuine, updated VAG replacement part, supplied as an authorised retailer, and it carries the latest revision number 06F 129 101R.
What the PCV valve does
The PCV valve manages pressure inside the engine’s crankcase by venting blow-by gases (small amounts of combustion gas that slip past the pistons) back into the intake to be burned off. When the diaphragm inside the valve splits, the system can no longer regulate this pressure correctly, which leads to a range of running issues.
Common symptoms of a failed PCV valve
- Rough or lumpy idle
- Loss of power or hesitation under load
- Whistling or hissing noises from the engine bay
- Lean running fault codes
- Excessive oil consumption or oil being pulled into the intake
Fitting the latest revision part restores correct crankcase ventilation and resolves these issues, returning the engine to smooth, factory running behaviour.
Fitment
This valve is designed for the transversely mounted 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine as found in popular VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda performance models such as the Golf GTI Mk5, Golf R32 successor variants, Scirocco R, Audi S3 8P, Leon Cupra and Octavia vRS. It is not suitable for longitudinally mounted engines.
Please use the vehicle lookup on the Racingline Shop, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab, to confirm this is the correct part for your car before ordering.
Important installation notes
A new gasket is not included with this valve and must be purchased separately. Reusing the old gasket is not recommended, as it can lead to vacuum leaks and the same running issues you are trying to fix.
