NF RACE Octane Booster is a high strength fuel additive designed to instantly raise the octane rating of your petrol by up to 6 RON. Developed for race days, track days and dedicated motorsport use, it gives your engine access to higher quality fuel without the need to source expensive race fuel at the pump.

Higher octane fuel resists pre-ignition and detonation (often heard as engine “knocking” or “pinging”), which is the uncontrolled burning of fuel inside the cylinder. By reducing this, the engine runs more smoothly, more efficiently and with greater protection under heavy load. On modern vehicles, the ECU (the engine’s computer) can detect the improved fuel quality and adjust ignition timing and boost pressure automatically. On tuned cars, a custom map can be written to take full advantage of the higher octane for noticeable power gains.

Designed for performance and motorsport use

One 300ml bottle treats up to 60 litres of fuel for the maximum +6 RON increase. The shaped bottle fits directly into the fuel filler neck, making it easy to pour without spillage. A child proof cap is fitted as standard, and the formula is non-flammable, making it safer to store and transport than many traditional octane boosters.

• Octane improvements proven using the ASTM D2699 method, the same standard used by refineries worldwide

When should you use it?

NF RACE is best suited to track days, race days and dedicated competition vehicles where you want the highest possible octane for short bursts of maximum performance. For regular road use or as a routine fuel quality top-up, NF’s Street formulation is generally the better choice.

Important: To achieve the full +6 RON increase, use one bottle per 60 litres of fuel. Adding to a larger volume of fuel will reduce the octane gain proportionally. For best results, add the booster to an empty or near empty tank before filling, so it mixes thoroughly with the fresh fuel.
