Racingline Adjustable Rear Droplinks MQB/MQB Evo – VWR520000
The Racingline Adjustable Rear Droplinks are a targeted upgrade for any lowered or performance-focused MQB or MQB Evo platform car. Their job is simple: restore the correct geometry between your rear anti-roll bar and the suspension, so the bar can work exactly as it was designed to. The result is sharper, more predictable handling at the rear of the car.
The Problem with Factory Droplinks
Standard droplinks are a fixed length and use soft rubber bushings. They are set up to suit the factory ride height. As soon as you lower the car, those fixed-length links pull the ends of the anti-roll bar upwards and force it to sit at a sharper angle. This pre-loads the bar before the suspension has even moved, which dulls response and means the bar is no longer operating in its ideal range. The soft rubber joints also introduce a small amount of flex, taking the edge off turn-in feel.
The Racingline Solution
Originally developed for Racingline’s own race cars, these adjustable droplinks let you set the length to suit your exact ride height. With +/- 5mm of adjustment, you can remove any pre-load from the anti-roll bar and return it to a neutral, correct starting position. Adjustment can be carried out with the links still fitted to the car, which makes corner-balancing and fine-tuning much easier.
The soft rubber joints are replaced with motorsport-specification, Teflon-lined steel ball joints. These transfer suspension movement to the anti-roll bar directly, with no flex or lost motion, giving a noticeably sharper rear end when turning in.
Build Quality and Materials
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium bodies with a gloss black anodised finish
- Left and right hand threaded ends for in-situ length adjustment
- High-strength, Teflon-lined steel ball joints for a precise, direct feel
- Rubber dust boots fitted to each joint to keep out road grime and moisture
Who Are These For?
If your car is lowered on coilovers or lowering springs, or you’ve fitted an upgraded rear anti-roll bar, these droplinks are the missing piece. They let the bar do its job properly and remove the dead, vague feel that can creep in when standard links are used outside their intended ride height window. Even on standard ride height cars, the move from rubber bushings to motorsport ball joints gives a noticeable lift in rear-end response.
