The Racingline Software and PDM bundle is a Stage 1 tuning package built specifically for the facelift Audi RS3 8V with the DNWA 2.5 TFSI engine fitted with a GPF (Petrol Particulate Filter). It is one of the cleanest ways to unlock the true potential of the five-cylinder turbo engine, giving you a meaningful jump in power and torque while keeping the factory feel, drivability and reliability you expect from your RS3.

The PDM (Personal Device Manager) is your own personal flashing tool. It plugs into your car’s OBD port and lets you load Racingline’s calibrations at home, on your driveway, whenever you like. There is no need to send your ECU away, and no need to book a workshop visit.

What the bundle does

Racingline’s calibration carefully revises the engine’s mapping, including boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing and torque limits. The result is a sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range pull and a noticeably more eager top end. Power and torque both increase significantly over standard, and the delivery remains smooth and linear in true Audi RS fashion.

Because the software is developed and validated by Racingline in the UK, it is mapped around real-world UK fuel and driving conditions, not generic global maps.

What you’ll need to flash at home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A stable wired broadband connection (strong Wi-Fi can work but wired is preferred)
• A battery charger/support unit capable of at least 20 amps (CTEK recommended)
• Mains electricity within reach of the vehicle

Fuel grade

Headline performance figures are quoted on 99RON fuel. A 95RON map is available if 99RON is not easily accessible in your area, but peak power and torque will be slightly lower. Do not run 95RON fuel in a car flashed with the 99RON map. Always match the fuel in the tank to the map loaded in the ECU.

DSG owners – please read

The RS3 uses a 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox – Audi’s dual-clutch automatic). The factory transmission software (TCU) has torque limits that can interfere with the extra performance from a tuned engine, sometimes causing harsh shifts or torque cuts. For the best experience we strongly recommend pairing the ECU software with Racingline’s matching TCU software as a combined ECU+TCU bundle. This properly manages the added torque and keeps shifts crisp.

Theft protection built in

The PDM includes a clever Theft Protection function that turns your tuning tool into a powerful security device:

• Anti-theft flash: Load an immobilising map into the ECU in seconds, making the engine completely unable to start
• Zero start policy: Far more robust than a standard immobiliser – the engine simply cannot run until you re-flash a working map
• Quick to activate: Useful for long-stay car parks, airports, holidays or any high-risk situation

Ready for more? Stage 1+ upgrade path

Once you own Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ is free. Stage 1+ asks more of the engine and needs supporting hardware to deliver safely, including:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Racingline performance intercooler

This package is specifically for the Audi RS3 8V facelift model with the DNWA 2.5 TFSI engine and factory GPF. It is not suitable for pre-facelift CZGB-engined cars or non-GPF variants.
