What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration refines the factory engine map, adjusting boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and throttle mapping. The result is a sharper, more responsive RS3 with stronger pulling power across the rev range. You’ll feel the difference most in mid-range acceleration, where the five-cylinder engine becomes noticeably more urgent.

The included PDM device is your personal tuning tool. It connects to your car via the OBD port and to a laptop via USB, allowing you to flash performance maps, return to stock, or activate additional features at any time.

Stage 1 Power Gains

Based on 99RON fuel, Stage 1 delivers a healthy uplift over the stock figures, transforming the RS3 into a genuinely quick car without requiring any hardware changes. A 95RON map is also available where high-octane fuel is harder to find, although peak figures will be slightly reduced. Do not use 95RON fuel if your vehicle has been tuned with a 99RON map.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB port and power supply
• Wired broadband (or a very stable Wi-Fi connection)
• A 20A minimum battery charger (CTEK recommended) to maintain voltage during flashing
• Mains power available at the vehicle

Pair With TCU Software for the Best Results

The RS3 uses a DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox, which has its own torque limits set by the factory. To handle the extra power cleanly and protect the gearbox, we strongly recommend pairing this ECU tune with Racingline’s TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. The combined ECU + TCU bundle gives sharper shifts, raised torque limits and a more cohesive driving experience.

Built-In Theft Protection

The PDM doubles as a powerful security tool. With a few taps you can flash an anti-theft map that renders the ECU completely inoperable. The engine cannot be started by any means until you return and re-flash a stock or performance map using your PDM.

Free Upgrade Path to Stage 2

Once you own Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is free of charge. Stage 2 unlocks further gains but requires supporting hardware, typically:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Uprated intercooler
• Performance downpipe
