Developed specifically for the 2.9 V6 TFSI EA839 engine, this Stage 1 tune sharpens throttle response, increases power and torque, and brings out the character of the engine without compromising reliability.

The PDM is a handheld flashing tool that allows you to upload Racingline’s calibrated maps to your ECU (the engine’s computer) from the comfort of your own driveway. No workshop visit needed, no permanent modifications, and you can return to the factory map at any time.

What the Bundle Does

Racingline’s engineers recalibrate key engine parameters such as boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and throttle mapping. The result is a meaningful gain in horsepower and torque across the rev range, with smoother power delivery and stronger mid-range pull. The RS5 feels more responsive in everyday driving and noticeably quicker when pushed.

Theft Protection Built In

Your PDM also doubles as an advanced security tool. With a few taps, you can flash an anti-theft map to your ECU that makes the engine completely inoperable until you re-flash a stock or performance map. Unlike a standard immobiliser, the engine simply cannot run, giving genuine peace of mind in high-risk parking situations or when leaving the car for extended periods.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10/11 laptop with USB and mains power supply
• A secure wired (or very stable Wi-Fi) high-speed broadband connection
• A vehicle battery charger/support unit (20A minimum, CTEK recommended)
• Mains electricity available at the vehicle

Important Considerations

TCU Software: The RS5 (B9) uses a DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). To get the best from the extra torque and ensure smooth, well-managed gear changes, we strongly recommend pairing this software with the matching TCU (gearbox) tune as an ECU+TCU bundle.

Fuel Grade: Quoted performance figures are based on 99RON fuel. A 95RON file is available where 99RON isn’t accessible, although peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not run 95RON fuel if your vehicle is currently mapped for 99RON.
