What the Software Does

The Racingline calibration revises key engine parameters including boost pressure, fuel delivery, ignition timing and throttle response. The result is sharper acceleration, stronger mid-range pull and a more responsive feel throughout the rev range. Gains are realistic, repeatable and developed through extensive in-house testing on Racingline’s own development vehicles.

Theft Protection Built In

The PDM tool includes Racingline’s Theft Protection function for added peace of mind:

• Anti-theft map: Flash an immobilising map directly to the ECU, making the engine completely inoperable until a stock or performance map is re-flashed.
• Zero Start: Goes beyond a standard immobiliser – the engine physically cannot start.
• Quick toggle: Activate or deactivate the function in moments using the PDM.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB port and power supply
• A wired (or very stable Wi-Fi) high-speed broadband connection
• A battery charger/support unit rated 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Mains electricity at the vehicle

Important Considerations

TCU Software: The RS6 (C8) uses an automatic transmission that benefits significantly from a matched TCU (Transmission Control Unit) tune. We strongly recommend pairing this software with the ECU+TCU bundle so the gearbox can properly manage the additional torque, deliver firmer shifts and improve overall drivability.

Fuel Grade: Peak performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON file is available where 99 RON is unavailable, but power figures will be slightly lower. Do not run 95 RON fuel in a vehicle mapped for 99 RON.

Free Upgrade Path to Stage 2

Once you own Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is free of charge. To run Stage 2, additional supporting hardware is required:

• Racingline Performance Air Intake and Turbo Inlet Elbow
• Performance Intercooler
• Performance Downpipes
