The PDM is Racingline’s “flash at home” tool, allowing you to upload performance software to your vehicle’s ECU (the engine’s computer) from your driveway, in your own time. No workshop appointment needed, no posting parts back and forth.

What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration retunes the engine’s fuelling, ignition timing and boost control to optimise output across the rev range. On the RSQ3’s five-cylinder turbo engine, expect a strong lift in mid-range torque, sharper throttle response and a more confident pull through the gears. Power gains are real and repeatable, without pushing the engine beyond safe operating limits.

Theft Protection Built In

The PDM doubles as an effective anti-theft device. With a few taps you can flash an immobilising map to the ECU, making it physically impossible for the engine to start until you flash a working map back on.

• Zero Start Policy: the engine simply cannot run, regardless of how the vehicle is accessed.
• Quick Toggle: activate or deactivate in moments using your PDM, ideal for airport parking, holidays or high-risk areas.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired broadband connection (a very stable Wi-Fi signal can work, but wired is preferred)
• A battery support charger capable of at least 20 amps – a CTEK unit is recommended
• Access to mains electricity at the vehicle

Important Considerations

Fuel grade: Headline power figures are achieved on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON map is available where 99 RON isn’t accessible, with slightly reduced peak figures. Do not run 95 RON fuel in a vehicle flashed with the 99 RON map.

DSG gearbox: The RSQ3 uses a 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). To handle the extra torque cleanly and improve shift behaviour, we strongly recommend pairing this ECU software with Racingline’s TCU (transmission control unit) software as a combined ECU+TCU bundle.

Free Upgrade to Stage 1+

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, the move from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ is free. Stage 1+ unlocks further gains but requires supporting hardware to safely deliver the extra performance:
