The Racingline Software and PDM Bundle is purpose-built for the EA888.4 engine with the Continental turbo, as fitted to the Audi S3 8Y. It is a straightforward way to unlock meaningful performance gains from your S3 without compromising the reliability Audi built into the platform. The bundle includes the Racingline PDM (Portable Device Module) tool and the matching performance software, allowing you to flash your car at home in your own time.

What the Bundle Does

Racingline’s calibration adjusts the engine’s mapping, boost control, fuelling and ignition timing to deliver a strong increase in power and torque over stock. The result is sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range pull and a more rewarding drive, particularly when overtaking or accelerating out of corners. Power delivery remains smooth and progressive, in keeping with how Audi designed the car to feel.

The PDM tool itself is reusable. Once you own it, future map changes, Stage 1+ and Stage 2 upgrades can be flashed at home without needing to return the car to a workshop.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and mains power supply
• A secure wired internet connection (or a very stable high-speed Wi-Fi connection)
• A battery support charger rated at 20A minimum (CTEK recommended)
• Access to a mains electricity supply for the duration of the flash

Important Considerations

DSG / TCU Software: The S3 8Y uses a DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox – the dual-clutch automatic). To run the full high-torque Stage 1 calibration, the matching TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software is required. This ensures the gearbox can handle the additional torque cleanly and that shifts remain smooth. We strongly recommend pairing this software with the ECU + TCU bundle.

Fuel Grade: Quoted peak figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON map is available where 99 RON is not easily accessible, though peak power and torque will be slightly lower. Do not use 95 RON fuel if your car has been flashed with the 99 RON map.

Upgrade Path: Stage 1+ and Stage 2

Once you own Racingline software, upgrades from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ and Stage 2 are provided free of charge. Stage 2 requires supporting hardware to safely realise the additional power, including:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Performance intercooler
• Performance downpipe

Built-in Theft Protection

The PDM also doubles as a powerful anti-theft tool. With a few presses you can flash an immobilisation map to your ECU, rendering the engine completely inoperable until you return and reflash your stock or performance map.

• Total immobilisation: the engine simply cannot start, regardless of key or attempted bypass
• Useful in high-risk situations: ideal for street parking, airport stays or extended trips away
• Quick to activate and deactivate using the PDM tool
