The Racingline Cup Edition Intake Package is a complete cold-air intake solution for MQB platform 2.0 TSI vehicles. Designed to work in harmony with stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 tunes, this kit replaces the restrictive factory intake components with free-flowing, performance-led parts that improve airflow from the front of the car all the way to the turbocharger.

If you want sharper throttle response, a more aggressive induction note and a genuine improvement in how your engine breathes, this is one of the most respected intake packages available for the MQB platform.

Cup Edition Cold-Air Intake

The Cup Edition intake draws cool, fresh air from outside the engine bay through a large-diameter, smooth-walled intake pipe straight to the turbo. Cooler air is denser, which means more oxygen per intake stroke and better combustion.

At the heart of the system is an oversize, domed High-Flow TriFoam™ air filter. The larger surface area increases airflow while still trapping dust and debris, so the engine always has access to a generous volume of clean, cool air. In real-world driving this translates to improved throttle response, stronger mid-range torque and noticeably quicker turbo spool. Racingline’s own testing shows turbo spool can occur up to around 500 RPM earlier than stock, helping to reduce the familiar lag associated with these engines.

Turbo Inlet Hose

The factory turbo inlet is a plastic concertina-style ‘bellows’ pipe. While fine for stock outputs, its ridged inner wall disrupts airflow and becomes a clear restriction once the engine is tuned. The Racingline Turbo Inlet Hose is a reinforced silicone replacement with a smooth internal bore, allowing air to travel into the turbo without turbulence. It’s also far more robust under boost than the original plastic part.

Turbo 90 Inlet Elbow

The standard MQB plastic 90-degree turbo elbow is one of the biggest hidden restrictions in the intake tract. Racingline’s CNC-machined alloy ‘thin wall’ Turbo 90 Inlet opens up the cross-section for greater airflow into the compressor. It’s gloss-anodised for a clean finish under the bonnet and is compatible with both factory turbos and Racingline upgraded turbo systems.

Optional Turbo Muffler Delete

Many owners pair this package with the Racingline Turbo Muffler Delete. The factory turbo muffler smooths intake noise but disrupts airflow in the process. The Racingline replacement is a precisely-machined single-piece unit that removes the restriction and lets you hear the turbo properly for the first time.
