The standard DSG oil filter housing fitted to VW Group gearboxes is made from plastic. Over time, and especially under the heat cycles of hard driving, this plastic can warp, weep oil, or crack altogether. The Racingline Billet DSG Oil Filter Housing is a direct replacement that solves these issues while also offering a small but useful thermal benefit for your gearbox.

Built from Billet Aluminium

Each housing is machined from a solid block of T6-6061 aerospace-grade aluminium. This makes it far stronger and more dimensionally stable than the original plastic part, removing the risk of warping or leaking that often appears as the factory housing ages. The finish is polished and then gloss-anodised in a deep Midnight Black, which both resists corrosion and tidies up the engine bay.

Helps Manage Gearbox Oil Temperatures

Aluminium conducts heat far better than plastic. In practice, the billet housing acts as a small heat-sink, drawing warmth away from the gearbox oil passing through it. It is not a replacement for a dedicated DSG oil cooler, but it does contribute to slightly lower operating temperatures, which is welcome on hard-driven or tuned cars where the DSG works harder than standard.

Direct OEM Fitment

The housing is made to match factory dimensions exactly, including the original removal nut size, so installation uses the same tools and process as the standard part. It also continues to accept the standard DSG oil filter, meaning your usual service parts and routine remain unchanged.
