Racingline EA211 High-Output Ignition Coils
Racingline’s High-Output Ignition Coils are a direct plug-and-play upgrade over the factory OE coils fitted to the VW Group EA211 engine family. Delivering around 10% more energy output, they produce a stronger and more consistent spark across the rev range, helping your engine run cleaner, smoother and more efficiently.
Whether your car is completely standard or running a Stage 3 tune, a stronger ignition spark is one of the most worthwhile supporting upgrades you can make. A weak or ageing coil pack is one of the most common causes of misfires, rough idle, and lost power, so fitting a fresh set of high-output coils also makes excellent preventative maintenance on older vehicles.
Sold individually – please order the correct quantity for your engine (see below).
What This Upgrade Does
- 10% greater energy output compared to standard OE coils
- Stronger, more consistent spark for cleaner combustion
- Helps prevent misfires on tuned or higher-boost engines
- Direct OE replacement – no wiring, ECU changes or modifications required
- Ideal preventative maintenance on older, higher mileage engines
Fitment
Designed for the Volkswagen Group EA211 petrol engine family, fitted across a wide range of VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda models.
| Engine | Coils Required |
|---|---|
| 1.0 TSI EA211 | 3x |
| 1.2 TSI EA211 | 4x |
| 1.4 TSI EA211 | 4x |
Please use the vehicle lookup at the top of the page or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm compatibility with your exact model and year.
Important: If your factory ignition coils look physically different to the Racingline coils (aside from colour), these upgrades are not compatible with your engine.
Warranty & Diagnosis Requirements
Racingline Ignition Coils are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. However, the manufacturer does not accept “blanket” warranty claims for full sets of coils. To avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement, any warranty claim must meet the following criteria:
- Identify the faulty unit: You must pinpoint the specific failed coil. Claims submitted for full sets will be automatically rejected.
- Proof of failure required: Provide a garage invoice or diagnostic scan (for example, an error code such as P030X) showing the specific cylinder misfire.
- The “swap test”: Move the suspected coil to a different cylinder. If the misfire follows the coil to the new cylinder, you have a valid claim.
This simple diagnostic process protects you from replacing healthy parts and ensures any genuinely faulty coil is identified quickly and correctly.
