As an authorised Racingline retailer, we’re pleased to offer the Gen.3B R600 Air Intake System, a cold-air intake kit developed specifically for the latest 2.0TSI Gen.3B ‘190PS’ engines. This version of the popular 2.0 TSI uses a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, a small electronic device that measures the air entering the engine. Standard R600 kits don’t suit this setup, so Racingline engineered this dedicated version to deliver proper airflow gains while keeping the factory air metering working exactly as it should.

At its core, this kit uses the same proven R600 intake housing trusted by VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda owners worldwide. The large, sealed airbox draws cooler air from outside the engine bay rather than recycling hot air from around the engine. Cooler air is denser, which means more oxygen for combustion and a noticeable improvement in throttle response and top-end power.

What makes this version different

The clever part is the filter design. The included high-flow Trifoam® filter has a custom-machined 6061-T6 aluminium adaptor bonded to its base. This allows the filter to mount directly onto the factory MAF sensor housing in its original position, with no relocation or recalibration required. Your engine’s air metering continues to read accurately, while the intake itself flows far more freely than the restrictive standard airbox.

What to expect

You’ll notice sharper throttle response, a fuller induction sound under load and improved performance across the rev range. Gains are most obvious when the engine is working hard, such as during overtaking or on a spirited drive. The kit pairs especially well with a Racingline ECU tune, which can take fuller advantage of the increased airflow.

Important Fitment Information

This intake fits ONLY 2.0TSI Gen.3B ‘190PS’ vehicles. It is not compatible with the higher-output 220, 230, 245, 265, 280, 290, 300 or 310PS versions of the 2.0 TSI engine, as these use a different intake layout without the MAF sensor.
