RacingLine M14 x 1.50 Wheel Mounting Guide Pin
Changing wheels can be awkward, especially with heavy alloys, tight brake clearances, or when running spacers. The RacingLine Wheel Mounting Guide Pin is a simple but genuinely useful tool that supports the wheel while you line up the bolt holes, making the job quicker, safer, and far less likely to result in scratched paintwork or nicked brake discs.
It is a small addition to your boot toolkit that pays for itself the first time you avoid dropping a wheel against a brake rotor.
How It Works
- Thread the guide pin into one hub hole (M14 x 1.5).
- Lift the wheel and slide it onto the pin – the pin carries the weight and keeps the bolt holes aligned.
- Hand-thread the remaining wheel bolts.
- Remove the guide pin and fit the final bolt, then torque all bolts to your vehicle’s specification.
The pin is particularly helpful when fitting wheel spacers, where keeping the wheel centred and the holes aligned can otherwise be fiddly.
Design and Build Quality
Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium – a high-strength aerospace grade alloy – and finished in hard black anodising for corrosion resistance. A knurled mid-section gives a positive grip when threading by hand, and a small hole at the end allows you to pull it free with a tool if it becomes tight. The rounded, tapered tip helps guide the wheel on without marking the bore or face.
Fitment
Designed for vehicles using M14 x 1.5 wheel bolt threads, which covers a wide range of modern Volkswagen Group cars including VW, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda models. It will also suit other makes that share this thread specification.
Before use, confirm your vehicle uses M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts. Always torque wheel bolts to the manufacturer’s specified figure after fitting.
