The Racingline Damper Kit is a direct upgrade over your car’s standard shock absorbers, designed specifically for MQB platform vehicles with a 55mm front strut and multi-link rear suspension. Supplied as a complete set of two front and two rear dampers, this kit delivers sharper handling, better body control and a more planted feel on the road, without sacrificing everyday comfort.

Developed using Racingline’s motorsport experience, these dampers solve the common trade-off between a firm, sporty setup and a liveable daily ride. They work well with the standard ride height or when paired with lowering springs, making them a versatile choice for drivers who want a genuine improvement in how their car drives.

What the Dampers Do for Your Car

• Tri-Valve Technology: Three internal valves tune the damping response across different driving conditions. The result is tighter control during fast cornering, with the suppleness needed to absorb bumps and broken surfaces.
• Twin-Tube Construction: Uses a low-pressure nitrogen gas charge to keep the damper oil from foaming when it gets hot. This prevents “shock fade”, where dampers lose their effectiveness during hard or sustained driving.
• Precision-Matched Damping Curve: Tuned to work in harmony with Racingline Performance Sport Springs. Springs are not included in this kit, but combining the two gives the best results.
• High-Quality Damper Oil: Resists heat build-up better than OEM and many aftermarket equivalents, extending service life and maintaining consistent performance over time.

How It Improves the Drive

Compared with standard dampers, you can expect noticeably less body roll through corners, a more settled feel at motorway speeds and improved tyre contact with the road over uneven surfaces. The car feels more confident when pushed, but still composed on rough tarmac and longer journeys. It is a balanced upgrade rather than a stiff, track-only setup.
