Get more from your 2.0 TFSI engine with the Racingline Performance Cold Air Intake System. Designed and developed on Racingline’s own race cars, this kit replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a high-flow, fully enclosed intake that feeds your engine a steady supply of cool, dense air from outside the engine bay.

The result is improved airflow, sharper throttle response and a more engaging induction sound, without the drone or excessive volume of an open cone filter.

Why upgrade the standard intake?

The factory intake on the Mk5 Golf GTI, EOS and Jetta 2.0 TFSI is a known bottleneck, especially once the car has been remapped or fitted with other performance upgrades. By opening up the path from the outside air to the turbo, the Racingline system allows the engine to breathe more freely and the turbo to work more efficiently.

Trifoam Filter Technology

At the heart of the system is Racingline’s Trifoam filter, a triple-layer open-cell polyurethane foam laminate. It’s the same type of filter media used in some Formula One engines, offering an excellent balance between filtration and airflow. Each filter is handmade in the UK.

The filter is fully washable and reusable. Under normal road use it only needs cleaning and re-oiling every 20,000 miles (around 30,000 km), making it a genuine long-term upgrade rather than a service item.

Construction and Fitment

The intake uses a large diameter, smooth-bore intake pipe to minimise turbulence, paired with a fully enclosed airbox that isolates the filter from hot engine bay air. Installation is straightforward and uses existing factory mounting points, with no cutting or permanent modification required.
