The Racingline Cold Air Intake System is one of the most popular performance upgrades for the limited edition VW Polo 6R WRC 2.0 TFSI. What this intake does for your Polo WRC

The standard intake system on the Polo R WRC is designed for quiet, everyday driving and prioritises noise reduction over airflow. By fitting the Racingline kit, you remove that restriction and give the turbocharged 2.0 TFSI engine the volume of cool air it needs to work properly under load. The result is improved throttle response, stronger mid-range pull and a noticeably more aggressive induction sound when you get on the accelerator.

At the heart of the system is Racingline’s TriFoam filter. This is a triple-layer washable foam filter that traps fine dust while still flowing a very high volume of air. Unlike disposable paper filters, the TriFoam can be cleaned and re-oiled many times over the life of the car.

Realistic Expectations

On a standard Polo R WRC, you can expect modest power and torque gains along with much improved throttle response and induction sound. The bigger benefit comes when the intake is paired with other upgrades, such as a remap or upgraded exhaust, where it removes a key bottleneck and allows the engine to make full use of the extra fuel and boost. The 500 bhp flow rating means this intake will continue to perform even as the car is developed further.

Fitment

This specific kit is designed for the limited run Volkswagen Polo R WRC Edition (6R) with the 2.0 TFSI engine. It is not interchangeable with the standard Polo GTI or other 6R variants.
