The Racingline Spring and Damper Kit is a complete suspension upgrade for the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 R Hatch, combining lowering springs and performance-matched dampers in one package. It sharpens handling, gives the car a more purposeful stance, and keeps everyday comfort intact – making it one of the most balanced suspension upgrades available for the platform.

The standard Golf R suspension is set up as an all-rounder, which means it can feel a little soft and floaty when pushed. By replacing both the springs and the dampers as a matched set, this kit removes that compromise. The two components are designed to work together, so you avoid the common pitfall of fitting lowering springs to factory dampers (which often results in a harsh, unsettled ride and premature damper wear).

What the kit does for your Golf R

Around town, the ride is firmer than standard but still settles quickly over bumps, drains and expansion joints – this is not a track-only setup.

Important Fitment Notes

This kit is only suitable for the Golf Mk7 R 3-door and 5-door Hatch models.

It is NOT compatible with:

• Golf R Estate / Variant (‘ST’ Wagon) models
• Any vehicle fitted with DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control / Adaptive / Magnetic Ride) suspension
