The Racingline Power Control Module (PCM) is a plug-in tuning box developed exclusively for the latest 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engines fitted to 2024+ models from the Volkswagen Group. It’s an OEM+ style upgrade, meaning it lifts power and torque meaningfully while keeping the smooth, predictable driving manners of the standard car.

Unlike a full ECU remap, the PCM works alongside your factory engine management. It reads live sensor data and refines the signals being sent to the engine, allowing the turbo to deliver more boost and the fuelling to suit. The result is a noticeable step up in performance without permanently altering the factory software.

Power and Torque Gains

Fitted to the 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 Continental Turbo engine, the PCM delivers a healthy increase across the rev range:

• Power: 300PS up to 361PS
• Torque: 400Nm up to 471Nm

You’ll feel the difference most in mid-range pull, where the extra torque makes overtaking and everyday driving feel effortless. Racingline has spent considerable time testing the PCM across various conditions to make sure the gains are achieved without compromising reliability or longevity.

Designed for Easy Home Installation

If you have a basic level of mechanical knowledge, the PCM can be fitted at home. The unit mounts neatly above the battery using the supplied carbon fibre bracket and hardware. The wiring loom simply plugs into existing sensors at the top of the engine – no cutting or splicing required. Just as importantly, the PCM is fully removable, returning the car to factory condition whenever needed.

Free Upgrade Path to OEM+ Software

As an authorised Racingline technical partner, we’re able to offer a free upgrade path from the PCM to Racingline’s full OEM+ ECU software when the time is right. This makes the PCM an ideal first step into tuning, with no money wasted if you later decide to commit to a full remap.

Register Your PCM Before Use

You must register the serial number of your PCM before use. Registration activates the device’s warranty and unlocks the free upgrade path when applicable. Failure to register may invalidate both. Registration is done online via the Racingline website.

Important Notes on Warranty and Road Use

Any tuning modification can invalidate your manufacturer’s engine and powertrain warranty. If your dealer identifies the PCM fitted, they would be within their rights to reject a related warranty claim. The PCM is fully removable and leaves minimal trace at the ECU, but there is no guarantee it is warranty safe, and it is installed at the customer’s own risk.

It is also your responsibility to notify your insurer of the modification and to make sure your vehicle still complies with all local road laws.
