Racingline RP700 Performance Front Brake Pads – 340x30mm
If you’ve ever pushed your car hard on a fast road or track day, you’ve probably felt brake fade – that worrying moment when the pedal goes soft and stopping power drops off. The Racingline RP700 Performance Front Brake Pads are designed to deal with exactly that. They’re a direct replacement for your factory front pads, fitting the standard 340x30mm front disc setup, but use a far more capable friction compound to handle serious heat.
As an authorised UK dealer for Racingline Performance, we supply the RP700 pads (part number VWR670006) for owners who want stronger, more consistent braking without changing the rest of their brake hardware.
What the RP700 Pads Do Differently
Racingline spent over a year developing the RP700 compound, testing on both road and track. The result is a medium-hardness pad using an aramid fibre compound – a strong, heat-resistant material also found in motorsport pads. The goal was to find the sweet spot between strong cold bite (good stopping performance from the first press of the pedal) and high-temperature fade resistance when the brakes are working hard.
In practical terms, these pads behave well on the daily commute, then stand up to repeated heavy braking on a B-road blast or a track session without losing their edge.
Key Benefits
- Near-zero brake fade under sustained high temperatures
- No warm-up needed – strong cold bite for everyday driving
- Progressive, predictable pedal feel for confident braking
- Direct replacement for factory pads using standard calipers and discs
- ECE R90 approved for road-legal use
ECE R90 Approved
ECE R90 is the European standard that certifies a brake pad performs to the same level as the original equipment fitted to your car. It’s a legal requirement in most countries, yet many aftermarket pads skip it. The RP700 pads carry full ECE R90 approval, so you can fit them with complete confidence for road use.
Fitment
These front pads are designed for vehicles fitted with the larger 340mm x 30mm front brake disc setup, commonly found on performance VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda Group models. To make sure they’re right for your car, please use the vehicle lookup tool on our site, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for the full application list.
Who They’re For
The RP700 pads suit drivers who want a noticeable step up from standard without moving to a full race pad. They’re ideal for:
- Fast road driving
- Occasional track days
- Daily-driven performance cars that still need to behave in traffic
Important: New brake pads must be bedded in correctly before hard use. Follow Racingline’s recommended bedding-in procedure to allow the friction material to transfer evenly onto the disc surface. Skipping this step can cause uneven braking and reduce pad life.
Pair the RP700 front pads with matching Racingline rear pads (available for both ventilated and solid rear discs) for a balanced upgrade across both axles.
