The PDM is a handheld tuning device that lets you flash the new software directly to your car at home, without needing to visit a workshop. As an authorised Racingline retailer, we provide the genuine software, the tool, and full account setup to get you tuning safely.

What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration rewrites the engine’s standard mapping to optimise boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing and throttle response. The result is a sharper, more responsive car with stronger mid-range pull and a noticeably more engaging drive, all developed and tested by Racingline’s in-house engineers.

Once installed, you’ll feel the difference in everyday driving: quicker overtakes, livelier acceleration and a more purposeful character without compromising daily usability.

Fitment

This software is developed for the Skoda Octavia VRS (5E) fitted with the EA888.3 2.0 TSI engine and IS20 turbo. All VRS variants from 220PS to 245PS produce the same peak figures once tuned. What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and power supply
• A secure wired (or very stable Wi-Fi) high-speed broadband connection
• A battery charger/support unit capable of at least 20A (CTEK brand recommended)
• Mains electricity available at the vehicle

Important Considerations Before Tuning

Manual gearbox cars: We strongly recommend upgrading the clutch before tuning. The additional torque can exceed the standard clutch’s holding capacity, leading to slip.

DSG gearbox cars: Consider the combined ECU + TCU software bundle. The TCU (Transmission Control Unit) tune ensures the gearbox can properly manage the increased torque and delivers crisper, better-timed shifts.

Fuel grade: Headline performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON file is available where 99 RON isn’t accessible, but peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not use 95 RON fuel if your car has been flashed with the 99 RON map.

A Free Upgrade Path to Stage 2

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is free of charge. Stage 2 does require supporting hardware to safely make use of the extra performance, including:

• Racingline Performance Air Intake and Turbo Inlet Elbow
• Racingline Performance Intercooler
• Racingline Performance Downpipe
