Designed specifically for the longer wheelbase estate models, this is one of the most cost-effective ways to transform both the look and feel of your car without stepping up to a full coilover setup.

The factory springs on these estates are a sensible compromise from the manufacturer, but they leave behind those familiar wheelarch gaps and a slightly soft, floaty feel during enthusiastic driving. Racingline’s Sport Springs lower the car’s centre of gravity, tighten up the body movement and give the car the planted, purposeful look it always deserved.

What the springs actually do

These are shorter, progressive-rate springs. In plain terms, that means the spring rate is close to standard in the middle of its travel (so the ride stays composed in everyday driving), but stiffens up further into the travel during hard cornering, braking or quick direction changes. The result is a car that feels more controlled when you push it, without becoming harsh on the daily commute.

• Lowers ride height by around 20-25mm at both the front and rear

Designed to work with your existing dampers

Racingline have matched the spring rates carefully to the OEM dampers, so there is no need to change anything else. Importantly, this includes cars fitted with VW’s DCC (Adaptive Chassis Control) switchable dampers – the springs will work correctly with the adaptive system, preserving Comfort, Normal and Race modes.
