Racingline Sport Lowering Springs – VW ID.3 & Cupra Born (VWR31ID00)
Transform the stance and handling of your VW ID.3 or Cupra Born with the Racingline Sport Lowering Springs. A straightforward upgrade that closes those large factory wheel arch gaps and sharpens the way your car drives, without the expense or complexity of a full coilover setup.
Both the ID.3 and Born leave the factory with soft, comfort-focused springs that result in a noticeably high ride height. Swapping in the Racingline Sport Springs drops the car by roughly 30mm front and rear, giving it the purposeful look it should have had from new, while also lowering the centre of gravity for better handling.
What These Springs Do for Your Car
- Lower stance: Approximately 30mm drop front and rear for a cleaner, more aggressive look.
- Reduced body roll: The car stays flatter through corners, improving stability and driver confidence.
- Sharper steering feel: A more direct, connected response to inputs.
- Improved aerodynamics: A lower ride height reduces underbody drag, which can offer small efficiency and range benefits.
- Retained comfort: Progressive-rate design keeps everyday driving smooth.
Progressive-Rate Design Explained
The clever part of these springs is their progressive rate. In simple terms, the spring rate (how stiff the spring feels) stays close to standard through the middle of its travel, so normal driving over typical UK roads remains comfortable. When you push harder, such as during quick cornering or heavy braking, the spring stiffens up towards the end of its travel. This gives you the controlled, sporty feel you want when driving enthusiastically, without the harsh, crashy ride that cheaper lowering springs are often guilty of.
Designed to Work with Your Factory Dampers
Racingline has developed these springs specifically to pair with the original equipment dampers on the ID.3 and Born. That means there is no need to replace anything else, and no risk of premature wear to your factory dampers. It is a complete, self-contained upgrade.
Fitment
These springs are designed for the VW ID.3 and Cupra Born electric platforms. Please use the vehicle lookup on our site, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab, to confirm compatibility with your specific model and year before ordering.
Important: Following installation, a four-wheel alignment is required to ensure correct geometry and even tyre wear. This should always be carried out after any change to ride height.
