The Racingline Software and PDM bundle is purpose-built for the EA888.3 engine with IS20 turbo, as fitted to the VW Arteon 2.0TSI (GPF models). It’s a straightforward way to unlock meaningful gains in power and torque from your Arteon while keeping reliability and drivability intact, all from the comfort of your own driveway.

As an authorised Racingline retailer, we supply the genuine PDM (Personal Device Manager) tuning tool along with the calibrated software file matched to your exact vehicle. The PDM allows you to flash the new tune to your ECU at home, with no need to remove the car’s computer or visit a workshop.

What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration refines the factory engine map, adjusting parameters such as boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing and throttle response. The result is a noticeable lift in horsepower and torque across the rev range, sharper throttle feel and stronger mid-range pull, particularly useful for overtaking and motorway driving.

The tune is developed and tested by Racingline’s in-house engineers, using OE-grade logic to keep the engine’s safety strategies in place. This is a Stage 1 software upgrade, meaning no hardware changes are needed to run it on a standard car.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a working USB port and mains power supply
• A stable wired broadband connection (a strong Wi-Fi signal can work, but wired is preferred)
• A battery charger or support unit capable of 20A or more, with CTEK recommended
• Access to mains electricity throughout the flashing process

Important Considerations Before Tuning

Manual transmission cars: The increase in torque can exceed the limits of the standard clutch. We strongly recommend upgrading the clutch before tuning to avoid slip under load.

DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) cars: Consider pairing the ECU software with Racingline’s TCU (transmission control unit) software. The TCU tune manages the extra torque properly, sharpens shifts and prevents the gearbox from holding back the engine’s new output.

Fuel grade: Quoted performance figures are based on 99RON premium fuel. A 95RON map is available if 99RON isn’t accessible in your area, though peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not run 95RON fuel in a car flashed for 99RON.

Room to Grow: Free Stage 2 Upgrade Path

Once you’ve purchased Racingline Stage 1 software, the upgrade to Stage 2 is provided free of charge. Stage 2 requires supporting hardware to safely handle the higher output, including:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Racingline performance intercooler
• Racingline performance downpipe
