The Racingline Software & PDM Bundle is a Stage 1 tuning package developed specifically for the VW Arteon R. It is calibrated for the EA888.4 engine paired with the Continental turbocharger, delivering a substantial increase in power and torque without compromising the reliability of your vehicle. As an authorised Racingline retailer, we supply the genuine bundle with full access to Racingline’s home flashing system.

This package allows you to flash your own ECU (the engine’s control unit) at home, using the supplied PDM (Personal Device Manager) tool. Once set up, you have full control over loading performance maps, returning to stock, or activating the built-in theft protection – all from your driveway.

What the Bundle Includes

What You Will Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with a USB port and power supply
• A wired or very stable Wi-Fi high-speed broadband connection
• A battery charger or support unit (20A minimum, CTEK recommended)
• Mains electricity within reach of the vehicle

Important Considerations

DSG / TCU Software: The Arteon R uses a DSG gearbox. To safely handle the additional torque produced by the Stage 1 tune, the matching TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software is required to run the high-torque Stage 1 map. We strongly recommend purchasing the combined ECU + TCU bundle for the best results and to protect your gearbox.

Fuel Grade: Headline performance figures are based on 99 RON fuel. A 95 RON map is available where 99 RON is not accessible, although peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not use 95 RON fuel if your vehicle has been flashed with a 99 RON map.

Upgrade Path to Stage 2

One of the strongest features of the Racingline system is the free software upgrade path. Once you own the Stage 1 software, moving up to Stage 1+ or Stage 2 costs nothing in software fees. To run Stage 2 reliably, you will need supporting hardware:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Performance intercooler
• Performance downpipe

Built-in Theft Protection

The PDM tool includes Racingline’s anti-theft function, giving you a genuine security advantage over a standard immobiliser:

• Total immobilisation: flash an anti-theft map that makes the ECU and engine completely inoperable
• Zero start: the engine physically cannot be started until a stock or performance map is reflashed
• Quick control: activate and deactivate in moments using the PDM

Ideal for high-risk parking areas, holidays, or long-term storage.
