What the Software Does

Racingline’s calibration refines the engine’s mapping, boost control, fuelling and ignition timing. The result is sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range pull and a noticeable increase in peak power and torque across the rev range. All Mk7.5 GTI variants (220PS and 245PS) achieve the same peak figures once tuned.

*Stock baseline figures reference the lowest-powered specification. Every Mk7.5 GTI variant produces the same peak output when tuned.

What You’ll Need to Flash at Home

• A Windows 10 or 11 laptop with USB port and mains power supply
• A stable wired broadband connection (or very reliable Wi-Fi)
• A battery charger capable of 20A or more (CTEK recommended) to maintain vehicle voltage during flashing
• Access to mains electricity for both the laptop and battery charger

Important Considerations Before Tuning

Manual gearbox owners: The increase in torque often exceeds the limits of the standard clutch. We strongly recommend upgrading your clutch before tuning to avoid slip under load.

DSG gearbox owners: For the best results, pair this ECU tune with Racingline’s TCU (Transmission Control Unit) software. The TCU update manages the extra torque, sharpens shifts and prevents the gearbox from limiting power.

Fuel grade: The headline performance figures are based on 99RON fuel. A 95RON file is available if 99RON isn’t accessible in your area, though peak figures will be slightly lower. Do not run 95RON fuel in a car tuned on the 99RON map.

A Clear Upgrade Path

Once you’ve purchased Racingline software, upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 1+ or Stage 2 is completely free of software charges. To progress beyond Stage 1, you’ll need to add supporting hardware:

• Racingline performance air intake and turbo inlet elbow
• Performance intercooler
• Performance downpipe (and on DSG cars, matching TCU software)
